Crop management
In the field of arable crops, the production of autumn cereals, sunflowers, autumn rape, soybeans, maize, silage maize, alfalfa and rice, irrigated arable crops and seed production is significant.
The average yield of autumn cereals (wheat and barley), which accounts for one-fifth of the total rented area, is 5 – 6 tons/ha depending on the weather.
The surplus quantity is sold to mills, between 4500 and 5000 tonnes.
The cultivation of autumn rape (350 ha) and soya (150 ha) is significant.
Sunflower is grown on nearly 600 hectares with an average yield of 2.5 – 3 tons/hectare, with a significant proportion of high oleic acid sunflower.
We pay special attention to rice cultivation
At 1600 ha of built-in rice fields, we produce 3500-4500 tons of commodity rice per 800-900 hectares, with an average yield of 5 – 5.5 tons/hectare, which is processed in our own rice husking plant.
Almost 30% of the rice sown area is BIO area – controlled by Biokontroll Hungária Nonprofit Kft. – which, after its own processing, is placed on the shelves of stores as BIO product.
Our rice seed cultivation is also significant.
At our 3 linear irrigation farms, totaling 593 hectares, we grow arable crops that require regular irrigation: sweet corn, hybrid corn, soy.
In addition to organizing complex agricultural work, we also undertake part-time work with state-of-the-art high-performance power machines and associated machines.
In the field of crop production, we implemented the HACCP food safety system in 2002, which, together with the tracking system, ensures an increased enforcement of the increasingly stringent quality requirements for crop production.
